Caboose On Order

My work on gathering Canadian National rolling stock is progressing along I just recently ordered an N scale bay window caboose from Walthers. It should be coming in the mail soon as it was in stock. I am close to having all the rolling stock I need for my freight train. I am still looking for Hoppers both covered and uncovered. The layout I am planning will have two tracks. On the second track I was thinking of a passenger train.

Detroit & Mackinac Caboose 205

Today I had some time on my hands so I decided to make another caboose so I painted up an old Union Pacific caboose red and attempted to duplicate the Detroit & Mackinac caboose that I photographed in Standish Michigan. I had to create the decals on my printer so I could not make the letters white I went for black lettering instead. I think it looks really good. What do you think?

The Finished Ann Arbor Caboose 2831

I finally finished the caboose I have been working on for my Ann Arbor freight train. It took me a while to get the decals but it's finally done and made up to look like the real caboose road number 2831. The HO caboose I used is an old Tyco caboose painted with Santa Fe markings. I like how it turned out.

I decided to model it after the caboose road number #2831

Making A Modern Ann Arbor Caboose

I just painted up a caboose and I need to add the decals to make it an Ann Arbor caboose that was used just before the use of cabooses was discontinued altogether. The color is just right. It will go great with my Ann Arbor freight train.

It will be decal-ed to match the following picture of an actual Ann Arbor caboose.

The decals are already on hold at Mountain Town Hobbies in Mt Pleasant Michigan.
