The Grandkids Layout Update

I am 4 Packs of 26inch radius track away from completing the layout for the grandkids 1 pack completes 1/4 circle. 4 packs will give me a complete circle.
This last circle will complete the 3 loops that make up the entire layout for the grandkids.
the inner loop I will run the BNSF freight train.
The middle loop I am running the CSX freight train
and the outer loop I will run the Norfolk Southern freight train.
The 2 inner loops are all set and running now. The last loop is just about there.

Building The Grand Kids Layout

As I put together the component parts of what will be the Grand Kids layout I find I am having a blast. The layout will consist of 3 mainline tracks.
The design is simple, as it consists of simple ovals the inner oval is a 18 inch radius which will be used to model the BNSF Railway that much is already put together in the current Grand Kids layout.
The centeral oval is a 22 inch radius oval which will be used to model CSX Transportation. I have just begun to accumulate the track and rolling stock I need to use to make it a reality.
Finally the outer oval will be a 26 inch radius oval to model the Norfolk Southern Railway I have three packs of track on hold at Mountain Town Hobbies in Mount Pleasant Michigan I only need one more pack to complete the oval. the rolling stock and locomotives have already come in.
All of the track will be Bachmann EZtrack as I find it to be good track to use that looks good as well.
Modeling these railroads allows me to go coast to coast in the contental United States

More Track For My N Scale Layout

I just got back form camping and I accumulated a few garbage bags full of pop cans. Once I cash them in I can pick up on some more track that I need to complete my expanded N scale layout. I still need the 19 inch radius curved track for the outer loop. I have about half of what I will need so this way I can get a bit further.
Once I have all the curved track I will start in on the 10 inch sections of streight track that I need. all in all I am going to take my time with this project so I am sure I get everything I am after.
